Holiday Flower Tree | Minimalist Decor
Season’s Greetings Folx!
I decided to update my flower wall for the winter season. I created what i’m calling a “holiday flower tree”. It’s red, white, pink, and green with a cardinal tree topper. It’s much simpler than the full flower wall I had previously and I’m enjoying the simplicity in this time of rest of reflection. The next update to the wall will be in March. I filmed a short video with close ups of the tree that you can view below. Enjoy!
Check out my full flower wall.
I Created a Tarot Deck | Black Rebirth Major Arcana
The Black Rebirth tarot cards are my personal interpretations of the major arcana cards and most do not follow the traditional tarot imagery. The tarot images are based on original collages I created. If you are new to tarot, starting with the major arcana can be a simple way to begin familiarizing yourself with tarot.
As for my process, I created them during summer 2018 from images I collected throughout 2017, but I didn't know they would end of being tarot cards. It was very organic. It took me about 2 weeks to make the collages. I would sit down every day and make 2-3 images. I did not make the cards in any order and just followed what images spoke to me each day. I did recreate 2 of the collages.
Along the way, I used LearnTarot.com and a tarot coloring book I had for reference and shared them on my Instagram. Once they were all made, I photographed them, edited them, and used Canva to make the card templates. I then used Make Playing Cards to create the deck and version #2 is posted below and available for purchase. The cards were released in February 2019.
Finally, Courtney Alexander, the creator of Dust 2 Onyx: A Melanated Tarot Deck, which I own, also inspired me to think about tarot as a way to connect with the ancestors and contribute to the growing community of black deck creators and readers. Shout out to the Brown Girl Tarot community on Facebook too.

DIY Flower Wall | YouTube
Hey Folx!
This week I’m showing you some #artsandcrafts. I created a flower wall to adorn my room and use as a backdrop for photos and videos. This is not a tutorial, but it's very simple to figure out if you want to make one for yourself.
Peace.
